  • Tackle Hunger 's mission is to unite all communities to tackle hunger and we help food charities gain millions to support their programs across the US, but food charities still end up turning away neighbors in need because they just don't have the budgets to take care of everyone who comes to ask for help. In addition to the annual Souper Bowl of Caring program, Tackle Hunger grows relationships with groups who can help food charities nationwide.

    If we can help food charities cut their costs to purchase certain food items, they can afford to purchase more. We know freight prices can also be a killer to the options of other wholesale options. This collaboration with LA Foods offers food charities an alternative to higher priced avenues to getting the foods they most need without the bulky shipping costs!

  • LA Foods is a global food distribution company with eight primary and twenty secondary distribution centers located throughout the United States, servicing thousands of accounts nationwide. They have distributed over a billion pounds of food products sourced from around the country and around the world.

    Their value-plus formula of fair pricing on quality products, and their "Source, Stock, and Supply Programs" continue to fuel the growth of LA Foods. As demonstrated through the Tackle Hunger program, their team cares about the community and using their buying power to food charities' benefit.

  • The minimum purchase for this program is $1,000 which allows you to pick up your product at a "hub" location within your community during a scheduled pickup time (they are listed on the ordering form). For orders over $5,000, the product will be delivered to your facility. Whether you have loading docks or not, the product can get to you through this program.

  • As compared to other distributors who are trying to get food charities to become customers, LA Foods does not have a requirement that you purchase a truckload of food. They don't even require you to purchase a pallet of food! LA Foods offers the flexibility for you to even purchase just one layer in a pallet of food. Check the prices here.   • LA Foods is committed to helping your food charity provide critical resources to those in need at all times.   • Yes, any church or school has the capacity to purchase product through this program. If you are trying to feed neighbors in need, we want to help you to do that with the lowest cost products possible.
