Why charities join the map
-
Get found by local groups
Groups search the map by ZIP code when they choose who to support.
-
Say exactly what you need
List your most-needed items so donations match your shelves, not just what's in people's pantries.
-
Keep 100% of what's raised
Groups deliver food and funds directly to you. Nothing passes through Tackle Hunger.
YOUR LISTING
This is what groups see when they find you
Groups browse the map, tap a pin and decide from your listing. Claim yours so the details are right and groups can reach you directly.
Your need level, so groups see where help goes furthest.

How it works for charities
Five steps to rally your community around your charity this Souper Bowl of Caring.
STEP 1 OF 5
Pick your campaign dates
Choose when you'd like groups to collect for you. Some run campaigns for weeks before the Big Game, others just on game day.
-
Not sure how to get groups to support you?
Ask your list of supporters to join the fundraising event. Consider a prize for the group that raises the most. Remember, 100% stays with your charity.
-
Don't see your charity on the map?
Click Contact on the Tackle Hunger Map to add it. It's free, and you can receive donations directly through the map, but only once you're listed.
STEP 2 OF 5
Tell groups what you need
When you ask your support network (groups and people who have fundraised for you before), be specific about what you need and why. It encourages them to take part.
-
Food items
Name your most-needed items
-
Cash donations
Share what funds will cover
Tip: "Peanut butter and canned tuna" gets better results than "non-perishables."
STEP 3 OF 5
Make it a fun competition
Souper Bowl of Caring happens every year alongside the biggest game of the year. Use that excitement to your advantage.
-
Challenge groups to collect the most
With five groups taking part, crown the one with the largest per-person collection as this year's Souper Bowl of Caring champs.
-
Bragging rights and a trophy
An old soup pot with a sticker works perfectly. Some charities write the winner's name on it each year.
-
Watch your campaign grow
One charity started with a handful of groups and now has more than 20 taking part, and it keeps growing.
STEP 4 OF 5
Share our free resources
Our mission is simple: help every food charity get the resources it needs to feed neighbors, year-round. Pass these on to your groups. We've done the work for you, and every resource is free.
